Gathering a Scattered Mind: A Retreat into Pratyahara
In the yogic tradition, pratyahara is the withdrawal of the senses. From this we experience a deep integration between the mind and body such that pure consciousness shines through. In this weekend retreat, we will expand on this idea by combining the nourishing wisdom of Ayurveda with the psychological bliss of yoga and meditation. As our minds are constantly bombarded through the stimulating mediums of modern communication, this weekend will act as a cleansing catalyst to renew our sense of discernment so that we may re-enter our lives more present and aware. Led by Christopher Sean Rice of Wild Sun Massage (wildsunmassage@gmail.com) and Sarah Kruse, co-owner of Life in Balance. See the Life in Balance website for more information.

Four Shields of Leadership: Retreat for Women with Susanna Maida, Ph.D, CPCC and Jackie Levin
As women, we are all yearning, each in our own way, to gather our unique gifts, passion, wisdom, and vision for what’s possible and offer them in service to the world with a desire to make a meaningful difference, be it in large or small arenas. Seeing leadership in this way turns it into an invitation to each of us to respond to the deeper longing in our soul and lead from the inspiration present there. Especially in these times of uncertainty, complex global challenges, and tumultuous change, we are each being called to the role of leadership, whether it be through creating alternative possibilities for our organizations and communities, facilitating transformative processes that enhance our human connection, ushering new ideas and paradigms into the larger culture, responding to an unmet need in the world, or leading our own lives and that of our families in new directions. This vision of leadership will settle for nothing less than you bringing your entire self to the journey – the physical wisdom of your embodied self, the mysterious depth inherent in your emotional terrain, the interconnected self of mind and community, and your ineffable spirit that connects you back to the wellspring of life itself.
